Leaked images show Mexico might just be wearing the loveliest of all World Cup shirts

Adidas, we doff our sombreros to you...

Another day, another leaked World Cup football kit…

We’re only a matter of months away from the big kick off in Russia, and with the first international break of 2018 on the horizon there’s now a steady flow of leaked images showing the kits some of the participating teams will be wearing at the World Cup.

Today, it’s the turn of Mexico, who – according to the always reliable Footy Headlines – will be turning out in a particularly lovely white away shirt this summer.

Following on from the retro home shirt they released last November, adidas have come up with another classic design for the Mexican changed shirt, which draws inspiration from the kits they wore back in the 1950s.

Predominantly white, the shirt’s stand-out feature is the a red, white and green horizontal stripe across its chest, representing the Mexican flag. It also has adidas’ famous three stripes running in green across its shoulders.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

While it’s definitely one of our favourite new World Cup shirts, we’re still undecided as to whether it’s better than the latest Nigerian and German offerings…

Mexico kick off their campaign against Germany on June 17 in Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium. Drawn in Group F, they will also face Sweden and South Korea.
