Kylian Mbappé has reportedly been made available for transfer by Paris Saint-Germain after being left out of their squad for their pre-season tour of Japan.
According to The Athletic, the French champions have decided to place the forward on the transfer list in the latest twist of the long-standing saga between him and the club.
Mbappé has continuously flirted with the idea of a move away from PSG and almost joined Real Madrid in 2022, only to back out at the last moment and instead sign a new contract.
The 24-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season but Mbappé has no desire to extend his deal by an extra year while also saying that he has no intention to leave the Parc des Princes this summer.
PSG don't want to lose their star player for free and could even accept offers below the £155m fee they paid for him while other reports have even suggested that they would be willing to leave him on the bench throughout the course of the season.
L'Equipe meanwhile have claimed that PSG believe the World Cup winner already has a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid - who are favourites to land his signature.
Luis Enrique's side have now travelled without Mbappé in their ranks to play a number of games in Japan before the defence of their Ligue 1 title gets underway.
They will face Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr as well as games against Cerezo Oasaka, Inter Milan and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
