Kaizer Chiefs’ new kit has leaked and it’s absolutely mad

South African side Kaizer Chiefs' new kit has been leaked and it features an optical illusion that will absolute mesmerise you

Oh my God I can’t believe it, they’ll never wear this shirt away from home

It’s new kit season. As we enter the final stretch of the league season, new kits have started coming out left, right and centre. Some are unofficial leaks, some are official releases. Either way, we all have a strange fascination with what football teams will be wearing in a few month’s time. The answer is usually ‘the same colours as this year, with a minimally different pattern’.

Most kit leaks or releases are very mundane. Oh look, they’ve put a slightly thicker trim on the shirt this year. Some, though, are wonderfully exciting. When a collar gets added to your team’s jersey, or the away strip has a sash, it’s fun, it’s good.

But very occasionally, someone comes up with a revolutionary kit. You’ve seen those kits from Spain with meat, prawns and skeleton prints all over them? Yeah, this is like those, but not shit.

Kaizer Chiefs are that team this time. The South African side from which the rock band got their name have had their kit for next season ‘leaked’, so this is by no means official confirmation, but by God we hope it’s real. Thanks to the great folks at footyheadlines.com, we have some photos to show you.

LOOK AT IT. IT’S GOT A FUCKING OPTICAL ILLUSION ON IT.

Aside from its obvious aesthetic beauty, this could also give Kaizer Chiefs an advantage in games as it will bamboozle opponents. I mean, it won’t, but it would be great if it did.
