Yet as the start to Liverpool's season continues to falter under Brendan Rodgers after losing to rivals Manchester United with the club now languishing in 10th place,
the bookies' odds have been slashed on the eccentric German replacing him.
But the strongest signal yet comes from the German media themselves who claim that Klopp would fancy a stint at Liverpool
if Rodgers was axed.
