If you've ever been in the doghouse with your girlfriend and needed to earn brownie points, you've probably watched the film Ghost.

You know the one where the late Patrick Swayze plays the spirit of a man murdered by muggers who goes back to save his mortal wife from peril with the help of psychic Whoopi Goldberg.
