The Champions League semi-final second leg could not come at a more difficult time for the Gunners.
Although Mikel Arteta's side were handed a major boost to their Premier League title hopes on Monday — as Manchester City failed to win one of their games in hand over the Gunners, meaning Arsenal will win the title if they win all of their remaining games — they're still amidst an exhausting domestic battle, beginning at West Ham on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners will have to maintain focus on the UCL for the time being however, with an important job to do against Atletico Madrid if they want to qualify for the tournament's grand final.
Despite being the better side throughout last week's first leg, Arsenal came away from the Wanda Metropolitano with nothing more than a 1-1 draw.
Even with home advantage on their side, the Gunners will need to maintain full concentration to make it through to the final.
Although playing away this week, the Spanish side have the benefit of having been able to rest a great deal of their squad in the lead up to the game, as Simeone named a much changed XI for his club's clash with Valencia on Sunday.
Rotation is a luxury title-chasing Arsenal could not afford.
Whether it is home advantage or squad rotation that leads to victory will be decided when the game commences at 8pm on Tuesday.
To watch the match for free, you must have an Amazon Prime subscription.
