Nine Premier League clubs can be in Europe next season if three results go the correct way.
Unai Emery's Aston Villa returned to the Champions League on Wednesday night after comfortably beating Freiburg 3-0 in the Europa League final.
The Europa League expert, Emery sealed his fifth title in the competition - with the third different club.
And not only is the result huge for Villa, but huge for other English football clubs.
If Villa finish 5th in the table, an additional spot in the Champions League will be allocated as part of the 'EPS' (European Performance Spot), which is going to England.
This would resultantly go to sixth spot, the position currently occupied by Andoni Iraola's Bournemouth.
The scenario required is Bournemouth need Man City to beat Aston Villa, as well as Liverpool to beat Brentford in order to grab fourth spot.
If the result above occur, Brighton and Chelsea are in the best positions to take the last European spots for the Europa League and Conference League.
Brighton are seventh, a point above Chelsea, and are going for the Europa League, not Conference League.
10th-placed Sunderland can still make the Europa League too - if they beat Chelsea and Brighton lose to Man United on the last day of the season.
Brighton can also make the Champions League, should they beat United and Bournemouth lose to Nottingham Forest, due to a better goal difference than the Cherries.
And here's where the 9th team come - Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace. Should they win the UEFA Conference League in Leipzig when they play Rayo Vallecano next Wednesday, they will automatically qualify for the Europa League.
