Has Amir Khan finally sealed a superfight with Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas?

Khan thinks so...

It’s taken long enough but finally Amir Khan has reached an agreement to fight Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.

Or that’s what Khan’s team are claiming, anyway.

It looked like a potential fight between the pair was dead in the water as Pacquiao sought a rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr after he got hammered in the so-called ‘Fight of the Century’.

But it’s reported that Bolton boxer Khan has agreed in ‘every last detail’ to fight the eight-weight champion in Vegas on April 9, 2016.

‘Our paperwork went off to (Bob) Arum on Friday and every point is covered,’ Khan’s father Shah told the Daily Mail.

It would be a final fight for legendary boxer Pacquiao who is retiring to go into politics in his native Phillipines.

There’s only one snag. Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum has called the whole thing ‘total bullsh*t’.

“I’m sitting here trying to figure a way to sell tickets to my fight [between Timothy Bradley and Brandon Rios on Saturday] and now my phone is ringing off the hook because this lunatic made some shit up.

“It’s total bullshit. It’s complete bullshit.”

Khan’s name is definitely in the mix alongside Tim Bradley and Terence Crawford for Pacquiao’s final return in April.

But Khan is wary after being burned in similar fashion with promises of a fight with Mayweather.

“We have been here before with Mayweather,” Shah Khan said. “So, while we are confident the contract will be back with us in the next few days, we are holding the second Saturday in January as a fall-back date for an alternative fight.”
