Guimaraes has completed a £75m move to Arsenal from Newcastle United, with the Gunners confirming the signing of the Brazil midfielder on Saturday, two weeks before the new season begins.

The 28-year-old, who has signed a four-year deal with the option of a further year, called the switch one of the “toughest decisions” of his life after four and a half years at St James’ Park.
