England lost their first ever match in the UEFA Nations League
Despite England’s 2-1 loss to Spain on Saturday night, Gareth Southgate is reportedly set to make nine changes for the friendly against Switzerland tomorrow night.
England are currently on a run of three consecutive losses, and a fourth against Switzerland would be the nation’s worst ever run of defeats.
In spite of that record being under threat, Gareth Southgate will make wholesale changes to the team tomorrow night. Ben Chilwell could come in for the injured Luke Shaw, after he and Demarai Gray were handed call-ups following injuries to Shaw and Raheem Sterling.
Gray could also replace Marcus Rashford alongside Harry Kane up top, while Eric Dier, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Fabian Delph will likely replace Jordan Henderson, Jesse Lingard and Dele Alli in midfield.
Kane and John Stones are likely to be the only players to keep their places in the side, with Kyle Walker and James Tarkowski likely to come in at right wing-back and left centre-back respectively, replacing Kieran Trippier and Harry Maguire.
The game will be played at the King Power Stadium in Leicester, meaning Chilwell and Gray could be in line to make their senior international debut at their club stadium.
