If kits this nice keep on getting released, we'll all be bankrupt before the summer
We all love football kits don't we? Even if you don't wear them, as fans of the sport you can't help but admire a well designed shirt. A good collar can make an otherwise plain shirt lovely. Fine details like a pin stripe can lift a jersey from a 5/10 to a 10/10. A sash can make pretty much any colour scheme work, such is the magic of a diagonal line.
And sometimes, simple is best. Minimalist designs offer a nice contrast to the super-modern florescent garbage that you see sometimes. And Nike have hit the nail on the head with their special edition France jersey to mark the French Football Federation's 100th anniversary, which harks back to the shirt they worse back in 1919.
Obviously, it's blue, but more of a royal blue than the navy jersey they donned during the last World Cup. It's got the iconic cockerel on the chest, this time with two gold stars above after their victorious campaign last summer and '100 ans' stitched in. And it's got buttons and a collar. It's retro, it's smart, it's going straight in my basket.

The rest of the kit features the classic white shorts and red socks combination, with similarly minimalist designs. It's the perfect mix of old and new. Modern retro done right.
