Yaya Toure wants to move to a different Premier League club after he leaves Man City

Yaya Toure might be parting ways with Manchester City but the veteran midfielder is eager to remain a Premier League player next season.

City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted that Toure could well move to a rival after announcing that this season would be the Ivorian midfielder's last at the Etihad. After eight years with City, Toure revealed that he wants to stay in England rather than move abroad in the summer. "Yes. Definitely," Toure told the BBC when asked if he wanted to stay in the Premier League. "I love the challenge and the difficulty. Some fans were asking 'are you retiring?' I said no. I have, maybe, two more years at a high level." Toure's agent Dimitri Seluk has come up with an interesting proposition for any potential suitors. Seluk has suggested that the 34-year-old is open to the idea of a performance-based deal in order to stay in the Premier League. "Yaya is fit and desperate to prove he's still the best central midfielder in the Premier League," Seluk told Sky Sports. "Ivory Coast will not be in Russia for the World Cup and next season he will be fit, rested and stronger than ever. "He's happy to accept a one-year deal to stay in England. And if his club are not satisfied with his performances, he will pay back half his wages, or the club can cancel his contract immediately, with no compensation."
