PGMOL advertising for new VAR officials with no experience required

Referees have come under intense pressure this season amid a series of high-profile errors.

A number of top-flight officials have been demoted from games as punishment and in attempt to rectify the errors, PGMOL chief Howard Webb is looking for new ideas.

According to The Sun, the organisation are looking to hire new VAR officials to improve performances with the video technology system.

Under the description, the PGMOL state that applicants need to "provide clear communication under pressure" and "identify when VAR needs to intervene".

Additionally, they require the "ability to focus and have great communication skills".

In the most recent edition of VAR controversies, Webb ruled that those working on Newcastle's win against Arsenal made the correct decision to allow Anthony Gordon's goal to stand.

Webb went through the three different decisions and explained the processes thoroughly and why the right calls were made.
