Government reportedly ‘considering extra bank holiday if England win 2020’

If England manages to bring it home, then the country will understandably be set aflame in celebration; after all, this hasn't happened in over five decades. The government were reportedly up late talking about how to celebrate the occasion, with the idea of a bank holiday being passed around for discussion. Imagine this, you wake up hungover and feeling gross, only to return to the pub for more drinks and a fat English breakfast. There has, of course, been a petition online by the name of "Give the UK a Bank Holiday on Monday, July 12th if England wins Euro 2020." The description reads as follows:

"England may be playing a European Championship Final at 8pm on Sunday 11th July. It would be beneficial and sensible to give the country the day off the next day if England win, in the form of an extra Bank Holiday Monday."

But now, POLITICO has reported that government ministers believe a bank holiday could be the best course of action. Let's face it, the nation will be hungover, shirtless, and undoubtedly smothered in red and white paint. You can't exactly go to work in River Island when you smell Stella and bad life decisions.
