A mix-up between United's defenders and goalkeeper allowed Pedro to put Chelsea ahead for the fastest Premier League goal of the season after 30 seconds, a lead which was doubled by Gary Cahill before half-time. Despite a better start to the second half (it couldn't really have been much worse), Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kanté put the game out of United's sight.
