Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte clash at ringside after Bellew vs. Haye II

It took a lot of security guards to prevent the rematch

Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte have a history of heated exchanges.

We’ve seen a press conference descend into chaos when a table was tossed, we’ve seen a Gloves Are Off special do the same when glasses were thrown and we bizarrely saw Chisora hump Whyte’s head when the pair of British rivals finally made it to the ring.

Whyte claimed a razor-close split decision over Chisora when they met in 2016 and given how competitive and entertaining their first clash was, there remains an appetite among fight fans to see a rematch.

Both were in attendance at London’ O2 Arena on Saturday night for Tony Bellew vs. David Haye II and considering the bad blood, there was always a danger that tensions could spill over at ringside.

And if security hadn’t been so quick to react, the heated altercation that was captured by iFL TV could well have turned violent as Whyte and Chisora clashed after the main event.

Whyte is on the brink of a world title fight after knocking out Lucas Browne in brutal fashion two months ago but he could well be tempted into giving ‘Del Boy’ a rematch.

“You lost already!” came the shouts from Whyte’s entourage.

Chisora, meanwhile, mocked ‘The Body Snatcher’ for having cheerleaders, saying: “I’m on my own and you’re going to get knocked out.”

“You want a real fight, sign the contract and we can do it,” Chisora added. “I bet you any money. Don’t pay me any money!”
