Rice was fuming with the referee after West Ham’s defeat
Footage has emerged of West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice shouting ‘corruption’ after the Hammers exited the Europa League on Thursday night.
David Moyes’ side suffered a 3-1 aggregate loss to the Bundesliga club, losing 1-0 at Deutsche Bank Park in the second leg after falling to a 2-1 defeat at the London Stadium.
The Hammers’ hopes of reaching the Europa League final came to an end at the semi-final stage, and Rice suggested that referee Jesus Gil Manzano was ‘against’ the Premier League side and favoured Frankfurt.
Speaking to BT Sport, he said: “Obviously, the sending off was probably a sending off looking back at it, but some of the other decisions were poor tonight.
“Nothing seemed to go for us, the referee seemed to make every decision go for them and in the end, when you’ve got someone who’s against you, you can’t really do much.”

Rice can he heard shouting “ref, ref, it’s so poor, all night it’s so bad, how can you be that bad? Honestly, you’ve probably been f**king paid. F**king Corruption.”

The West Ham man then walked into the Hammers’ changing room with his teammates.
Moyes apologises for kicking ball at ball boy
Irons boss Moyes – who was sent off late into the tie – has apologised for kicking the ball at a ball boy during the match. Obviously disappointed by flow of the game, he let out his frustration in a less than ideal manner, when he booted a ball with some vigour towards a ball boy.
🗣 “It was nicely on the volley for me.”

Presumably annoyed by the delay and wanting to get the game going in a hurry, Moyes let his anger boil over and was lucky his strike narrowly missed the ball boy.
