It's a tough life for a burglar. For starters, no one tells you about the best diets for the job - but sometimes you need to use common sense.
For example, loading up on chicken and beer mid-burglary might not be the best approach, but this guy wasn't to know.
A family in Florida returned home to find a home intruder passed out on their couch, clearly unable to wake from his slumber in time to make his getaway.
The would-be burglar was found draped in the family's jewellery and surrounded by chicken bones and empty beer bottles, suggesting the authorities had little trouble pinning the crime on him.
His subsequent protests of innocence will have taken plenty of bottle, especially if he accused the police of acting on poultry evidence. We think he will plan things better in the future instead of just winging it.
