British man dons camouflage to catch those who don’t clean up after their dogs

There might be more meaningful uses of camouflage, but this man’s efforts can’t be faulted for lack of practicality.

Andrew Hawes has been hiding in bushes near his hometown of Leiston in Suffolk, filming those too lazy to clean up dog poo in the town’s green spaces.

His camouflage outfit (not the new Everton kit) has worked by all accounts, allowing him to catch locals by surprise and guilt them into doing the right thing.

“If I have to go to court to explain my actions, if it’s saving a child from getting dog mess in their eye and going blind through disease, so be it,” he told the BBC.

Quite right, too.
