Jake Paul has said he would be happy to fight Mayweather in a boxing match

Footage has emerged of Jake Paul running away from a confrontation with Floyd Mayweather and his entourage, leading Paul to take to social media to explain himself.

Jake Paul claimed he was “jumped” by Floyd Mayweather and his entourage of “50 dudes” after they confronted the YouTuber following a basketball game.

Last month, Jake suffered a split decision loss to Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia and had been watching Miami Heat’s NBA game against Cleveland Cavaliers.

But he said that as he was leaving the game, ‘Mayweather and 50 dudes pulled up out of nowhere’ and confronted him.

A video of the confrontation sees Mayweather standing in the middle of a large group of people outside the stadium, with one of his entourage taunting Paul about his loss to Fury, saying: “What happened, you’re not tough anymore, since your loss? What happened since your loss? Are we gonna bust him up guys?”

Jake ends up sprinting away from the group, with Mayweather’s team heard shouting: “He’s running!”

The YouTuber later posted a video on TikTok giving his version of events, saying he had been “jumped” by the group.

Addressing Mayweather, he said he would be happy to take him on in a boxing fight – just like his brother Logan did in 2021 – but was “not dumb” enough to try and take on his whole entourage.

He backed this up in a tweet, writing: “Floyd if you want to fight 1 on 1 we can do that but don’t try to hop out of 3 cars 25 dudes deep tryna to jump me while I’m tryna enjoy my Wednesday night [sic]”

This isn’t the first time there have been tensions between Jake and Floyd.

In the lead-up to Logan Paul’s exhibition bout against the 50-0 fighter, Jake prompted a mass brawl at a press event after he snatched Floyd’s baseball cap from his head.
