One of the main concerns MMA fans have over the MayMac circus sideshow is that it raises doubts over McGregor's future. Once he receives that gargantuan payday, why would he even bother returning to the Octagon for what would likely be much smaller purses?
There are a couple of reasons why he may be convinced to the return. The fight would have to be huge, it would need to be worth his while financially and adding another marquee scalp to his collection would be an added bonus.
Well, who better to take on 'the Notorious' than arguably the greatest fighter ever to grace an Octagon, Georges St-Pierre? As Freddie Roach explained to Fight Hub TV, the Canadian superstar is keen on making that match-up his MMA swansong.
Exactly, who wouldn't?“With the last fight, we’re hoping (for it) to be (Conor) McGregor.”
“Who wouldn’t want that fight? I mean, it’s a big fight. We’d have to like maybe cut weight, meet in the middle somewhere, but there’s long negotiations (that could) still happen, of course. But, who wouldn’t want that fight?”
