He asked for a £10m guarantee with upside to fight Brook with Kell getting approx £2 to £2.5m. After I spat my coffee out we said no thanks — Eddie Hearn (@EddieHearn) January 22, 2016
Since then I have been in discussions with Al Haymons team to try and get this made. We are willing to take the smaller split to get this

made but enough of the insults. @AmirKingKhan we will make this easy for you 60-40 in your favour (Kell is World Champ) and you have it. — Eddie Hearn (@EddieHearn) January 22, 2016Hearn then went on Sky Sports to explain things even further. "It has been very positive the last few weeks because we've been talking and when there's dialogue, it's always good," he said. "But, like I said, when we had that meeting on Monday, I was left gobsmacked by their demands," he said. "It is effectively bigger than an 80-20 split. We are talking about a voluntary defence of a world title by a world champion Kell Brook to Amir Khan. "I appreciate Khan is probably a bigger name than Kell Brook, but Kell Brook is world champion and he needs some kind of parity, but more importantly he needs respect. That's why we are talking about a 60-40 split, it's a great deal for Amir Khan."
