It's official, Alan Shearer has been announced as the best Premier League striker of all time.
That's down to you, the wonderful people of JOE, who took to our vote and determined which one of Alan Shearer, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Thierry Henry was the greatest striker in Premier League history.
Over 8,000 of you voted and in all fairness, it was a close one between the top two. Shearer came out on top, taking home 40.4 per cent of the vote while Henry was just behind with 39.6 per cent.
Shearer enjoyed a marvellous career and still holds the record for being the Premier League's all-time leading goalscorer, finding the back of the net no less than 260 times.
Henry meanwhile was a genius. 'Mr Va Va Voom' could do it all. Goals, fancy flicks, making world class opponents look like Sunday League players, he was a joy to watch.
Haaland and Kane may have a bit more work to do in the public's eye as the duo were both some way off their predecessors.
The Manchester City forward may have broken all kinds of records including the most goals in a single Premier League season with 36 goals in 35 games but it wasn't enough to reach higher than third place in this coveted award, receiving 11.8 per cent of the votes
Kane, who could be leaving the top flight for Bayern Munich, came in last. In most votes involving Kane, he comes top of the pile, no questions asked, but this is a JOE poll and the people speak their mind.
In comparison to his rivals, Kane was way behind with only 8.2 per cent of the some 8,000 people putting their faith in the 29-year-old.
Of course, all the players are still excellent in their own right and the poll will never take anything away from that.
