Emily Thornberry is the shadow foreign secretary and labour candidate for Islington south. Just before parliament dissolved ahead of the general election, she began probing the government about a report, from the intelligence and security committee, into Russian interference in British politics. Once the gates of the palace of Westminster closed, the report couldn’t be published.
