He was found with his hands and feet bound after suffering hours of torture.

A 22-year-old influencer from Mexico was found dead with signs of torture on his body just hours after a drugs cartel dropped leaflets from a plane accusing him of working with a rival gang.

‘El Pinky’, whose real name is Agustín Paul, was alleged to have had laundered money for La Mayiza – a notorious Mexican drug cartel.

El Pinky’s was found dead 9 January, however, a new update from the Daily Star reported on a distressing video being circulated online showing the wounded YouTuber being tortured.

Investigators are treating the case as a premeditated murder allegedly carried out by a rival group – the Sinaloa cartel.

Sinaloa are a drugs gang who were once controlled by notorious drug lord El Chapo.

Just hours before El Pinky’s body was found, leaflets bearing the social media star’s name were dropped from an aircraft over the city of Culiacán.

El Pinky, who had thousands of followers on his channel Los Plebes de Barrancos, was discovered dead with a gunshot wound to the head on January 10 in Culiacán city, northwest Mexico.

El Pinky was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Deadly headshots often signify a pre-planned killing.

Worryingly, other YouTubers with huge followings were also named on flyers dropped from the sky.

He’s not the first YouTuber to be murdered in Mexico. Miguel ‘El Jasper’ Vivanco, was also found dead in the Mexican state Sinaloa last year.

While violence between rival gangs in Mexico is nothing new, the savagery seems to be extending into the online world.
