Robots might be catching up with humans in many other fields, but we probably thought we'd at least keep the advantage of spatial awareness.

If you were being chased by a metallic beast you could just hop a fence and make your escape...until now. Students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed a robot cheetah which can detect objects up ahead and then effortlessly hurdle them. Thank God they didn't give the thing teeth and a head.
