This father-son phonecall after Leicester’s title win is just wonderful

It's been a few days, but Leicester City's historic Premier League win still hasn't sunk in.

It's an amazing story that's borderline impossible to put into words. Which is why we're not surprised at how many Leicester fans don't even bother. This week saw BBC reporter and Leicester City fan Ian Stringer release a short phonecall with his Dad following Spurs 2-2 game. With both boys unable to process that their beloved team are now champions of England, what follows is one of the most uplifting phonecalls you will ever see. The joy and ecstasy of football fandom at its purest, and what makes so many people band together once a week come sunshine or rain for those small moments that only sport can provide. "This is something people like you and me would never have ever of dreamed of," says Stringer's dad before his voice gives way and both men give a little cry. Ian also makes mention of the family aspect of a club like Leicester City, how so many people have supported the club without any possible thought that they might one day win the Premier League  "All those generations, all those away trips Tranmere." "Dad do you fancy a party on Saturday?" asks Ian signing off. "Do I fancy a party? I can't wait." Well said. Whatever happens next season, let's enjoy Leicester's moment in the now.
