For the fourth year on the spin, Australia's Qantas tops the list. The airline boasts an impressive fatality free record throughout the jet era, which goes a long way to preserving its place at the top of such a list.
The other 19 airlines that make the list are not ranked and have been listed alphabetically. It should also be noted that the top 20 don't include any low-cost or boutique carriers, such as EasyJet. These were looked at in a separate bit of research.
The other 19 airlines, in alphabetical order:
Air New Zealand, Alaska Airlines, All Nippon Airways, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Delta Air Lines, Etihad Airways, EVA Air, Finnair, Hawaiian Airlines, Japan Airlines, KLM, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airline System, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia.
Interestingly, all carriers on the list are from Asia, North America, Oceania, and Europe, with none from South America or Africa making the cut.News
