The iPhone 7 rumours begin *before* the iPhone 6s is officially released

The iPhone 7 is expected to be Apple’s thinnest phone to date.

With the newest iPhones – the 6s and 6s Plus – yet to be released, it seems attention is already turning to what comes next.

The new iPhones are said to be thicker than the current iPhone 6, which measures 6.9mm. But according to reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 7 will be between 6 and 6.5mm.

It seems the ‘smaller is better’ mantra will return for the iPhone 7, which is also expected to use the same Force Touch technology thought to be present in the iPhone 6s.

Apple has generally made its devices smaller with each release, which suggests the 6s and 6s Plus are an anomaly and not a change in direction.

There’s also the small matter of a new iPad and Apple TV, both of which are anticipated alongside the release of the new iPhone models – so let’s not look too far into the future.
