Stan Collymore causes a stir on Twitter as he joins the SNP after Syria vote

JOE

Former England footballer Stan Collymore has decided to join the Scottish National Party after it voted against launching air strikes in Syria.

Disapproving of the fact that many Labour MPs were voting in favour of the action, Collymore announced he had left the Labour Party just months after rejoining – and asked if it was possible for him to join the SNP.

Minutes later, the 44-year-old tweeted a screenshot to show that he’d joined.

After accusing the Labour Party of being infiltrated by Tories, the pundit claimed that it was time for change.

Predictably, his decison to join SNP provoked a mixed response on Twitter…
