Shocking moment Orthodox Jewish man knocked unconscious in ‘racist attack’

A Jewish man is the latest victim in what appears to be a string of anti-Semitic attacks

At Stamford Hill, London, at 8.30 pm on Wednesday, an Orthodox Jewish man, 64, was punched in the face by a passer-by in a ‘racist attack’ that left him unconscious. This news comes just hours after a child in the same area.

In the video taken at 8.30 pm, the man’s head is seen being slammed into a nearby wall after he was punched. The man was reportedly left unconscious following the attack and had been taken to hospital to be treated for head injuries.

“The unconscious victim was rushed to hospital with a broken foot/ankle & nasty head injuries,” tweeted neighbourhood watch group Shomrim.

A separate video taken on the same evening is alleged to show a Jewish child being ‘viciously punched’ in the face less than an hour and a half beforehand. Dashcam footage shows a boy on a bike being attacked, with the attacker allegedly holding a bottle.

The currently unidentified attacker can be seen dressed in white, wearing a headdress and a greenish-brown coat in both clips.

Neighbourhood watch group Shomrim said local police are linking a ‘series of horrific unprovoked attacks’ and are currently investigating the crimes.

A spokesman for the police told the MailOnline:

“On Friday, 20 August, police received a third party report of an assault that occurred on Stamford Hill at approximately 20:30hrs on Wednesday, 18 August.

“Officers have spoken with the 64-year-old victim and enquiries remain ongoing.

“There have been no arrests.”

Anyone with information regarding the attack on the 64-year-old man is urged to call the police via 101 quoting reference Cad 4492/20Aug.
