Ruud van Nistelrooy is set to leave Manchester United as reported by The Athletic.
The United legend was hired as assistant coach in the summer by Erik ten Hag and stepped in when the latter was sacked last month.
Van Nistelrooy took charge of four games as caretaker manager, winning three and drawing one.
However, it has now been confirmed that Ruben Amorim wants to bring in his own staff, meaning Ruud will be departing the club.
Ruben Amorim landed in Manchester today and has visited United's training centre Carrington to get his first impression of the facilities.
However, the Portuguese manager will not be able to get to work right away as he waits upon a work permit.
Along with Van Nistelrooy, Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Pieter Morel have also left as the remnants of Erik ten Hag's back room staff.
This clear out signals a fresh new era at Man United, with the Dutch contingent getting a Portuguese make over.
