Ukraine suffered a devastating bombardment at the hands of Russia overnight as the war shows no sign of stopping.
According to the country's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, "almost all of Ukraine" was attacked, with over 400 drones and 40 missiles igniting the city of Kyiv and further afield.
At least 49 people were injured - all of whom are rescue workers - while the current mortality rate could rise from four.
"Russia must be held accountable for this. Since the first minute of this war, they have been striking cities and villages to destroy life," said Zelenskyy (via Sky News).
"We must act decisively."

This inevitably followed Ukraine's drone attack on its enemy's airbase last weekend.
Zelenskyy's troops shipped out more than 100 drones deep into Russian territory, where they destroyed 40 warplanes in a Pearl Harbour-esque assault.
In response to this, Russian ambassador to the UK, Andrei Kelin, informed Sky News that such destructive motions threatened to escalate the conflict towards a Third World War.
"That's the very worst case scenario that we can imagine," he warned, while also accusing the UK of aiding this Ukrainian resistance.
"[This] kind of attack involves, of course, provision of very high technology, so-called geospaced data, which only can be done by those who have it in possession. And this is London and Washington," he claimed.
"I don't believe that America [is involved], that has been denied by President Trump, definitely, but it has not been denied by London. We perfectly know how much London is involved, how deeply British forces are involved in working together with Ukraine.
"It is up to the Ministry of Defence to make a right solution, but we have to respond to it."
