Even 50 Cent was surprised by the footage of what appears to be the rapper’s dead body on stage
Odd footage circulating social media appears to show mourners raving at the rapper Goonew’s funeral while his deceased body is propped up on a stage.
Goonew, real name Markelle Morrow, was an American star who was shot dead in Maryland last month, aged 24.

An event titled ‘The Final Show Goonew’ was held at Bliss nightclub in Washington last night.
Today, bizarre photos and videos posted on Twitter appear to show the rapper’s body on the stage – wearing sneakers, ripped pants, a bling watch, and a dark blue Amiri sweater.
It is yet to be confirmed whether this is his embalmed body or a mannequin.

Fans had their phones at the ready as sparks fired on the stage, next to what was either Goonew’s body or a waxwork made in his memory.
“Tbh goonew deserved way better in my opinion, long live him tho,” one fan said.
Some Twitter users condemned the move as “disturbing” and “disrespectful” to the rapper. Others thought it was simply “wild”.
“I don’t even know what to say,” one said.
Even 50 Cent responded to footage of Goonew’s funeral event.

Goonew’s family said he was fatally shot in the back on March 18 after his watch was stolen by his killer.
The rapper’s mother, Patrice Morrow, told WUSA 9: “All he wanted to do is try to get his family out the hood.
“He had a heart bigger than his body, when they took him, they took me. They took his chain. They took his watch. He gave it up and they still shot him in his back.”
Despite the heartbreaking situation, the rapper’s mum told her son’s killers: “I forgive you. They took my son, hope they got what they wanted.”
