Barcelona are planning on taking the situation to court

Premier League clubs have been left on high alert after it was announced today that Barcelona star Dani Olmo will not be registered with the club for the second half of the La Liga season.

La Liga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have rejected both Dani Olmo and his teammate Pau Victor from being registered at the club for the rest of the season.

The news was reported by Fabrizio Romano and credible sources in Spain.

This outcome had been greatly rumoured over recent weeks, however, it seemed unlikely that such a big thing would happen to such a big player at such a big club.

Well, it has happened, and now clubs in the Premier League, who were already tracking the player, have been left on high alert.

With Olmo effectively without a club, he will be able to leave on a free, and Manchester City have been heavily linked as the number one destination for the player.

Peter O’Rourke reported that Pep’s side are monitoring his situation “very closely.”

Despite what could be a perfect deal for City, reports have claimed the player would rather stay at Barcelona, regardless of the outcome.

Barcelona failed to register the 26-year-old before the deadline.

The club intend on taking the matter to court.
