Premier League accused of neglecting fans by Man United Supporters’ Trust

Man United fans have had two games rearranged that fans can't get home from

United will now face Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Thursday, May 4 at 8pm before travelling to east London three days later where they will face West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday, May 7 at 7pm - a day after the coronation of King Charles.

Supporters heading to those games will be faced with a travel dilemma as the last train back to Manchester on both days leaves at 9:49pm, meaning that those attending would have to leave the game early to get back on time.

This is the second time that Erik ten Hag's side have had a Sunday fixture moved to 7pm, leaving many supporters of the Red Devils angered by the decision of the league and broadcasters.

A spokesperson for the Manchester United Supporters' Trust told the Daily Mail said: "Only three years ago we were told that football without fans is nothing. 

"These decisions show how quickly the football authorities forget. The match-going fan appears to be nobody's priority in the scheduling of games."

King Charles' coronation on Saturday May 6 is also likely to cause major disruption to fans heading to games in London, where millions are expected to gather for the historic occasion.

In a statement on Friday, the Premier League apologised for the delay in information on their broadcast selection for games on the coronation weekend and "understand" the frustration of fans.

They added: "Finalising these particular selections took longer than expected due to complications around the scheduling on the weekend of the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort."
