So Britain’s newest newspaper had quite the front page this morning.
The ‘New Day’s’ cover story is the unsettling tale of a romance between a mum and her son. British woman Kim Ford is now in a relationship with Ben, the son she gave up for adoption 32 years ago while living in California.
Mother and son were reunited in 2013 when Ben wrote to Kim, and they agreed to meet in person a few weeks later.
“Despite everything telling me I shouldn’t, I knew I was falling for my son,” Kim told ‘The New Day’. “I even found myself having sexy dreams about him”.

The feeling was very much mutual for Ben, who was married at the time, and ended up leaving his wife to pursue a relationship with his birth mother. They now plan to have a child and start a family together.
Both deny that their relationship is incestuous; instead, they call it “genetic sexual attraction” (GSA), which is the name given to feelings of love and desire for a blood relative.
Unsurprisingly, the story has provoked strong reactions…

Mostly, the collective reaction was…
But there was still room for some classic British understatement too…
@SkyNews well that's something different…
