“I respect the Court’s ruling and I will cooperate with the relevant authorities in relation to my departure from the country. I am uncomfortable that the focus of the past weeks has been on me and I hope that we can all now focus on the game and tournament I love. Many in the world of tennis came out to share their opinion on Djokovic, including Grand Slam rival Rafael Nadal, women's singles legend Martina Navratilova and even huge former player turned commentator and huge fan, Boris Becker.
While their sentiments were all pretty much the same - get the vaccine and you can play - other sections of the public believe the Djokovic saga has raised important questions surrounding whether the Covid-19 vaccine should be compulsory.
