More major celebrities mentioned in Diddy trial during cross-examination

The trial continues

The trial began earlier this week with an initial list of almost 200 A-listers handed out to potential jurors before it began last week.

This week, Combs' ex-girlfriend Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura has been testifying in court during which the names of more major celebrities that have an alleged pertinence to the case were named.

Combs is facing charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

He has denied all charges.

Ventura is a key witness in the case and has shared further details about the alleged 'freak offs' organised by the rapper.

During her testimony she has mentioned the likes of Prince, Kid Cudi and Drake.

Since then more references to famous names have been made.

The first of these names was Britney Spears, who Ventura claims was brought to her 21st birthday party in Las Vegas where she first kissed Combs.

Dallas Austin was also mentioned as Ventura said he came with Spears to the same aforementioned birthday party.

“Sean was there and he brought Dallas Austin, Britney Spears. I think those were the two people that stand out to me,” she said.

Separately, two names were mentioned in court, but not directly involved with the those present.

Both Bruce Willis and Eddie Murphy were named in court, but in reference to text messages between Ventura and Combs referencing their family lives and the children Combs had before his relationship with Ventura began.

Ventura texted Combs: “As much as you think you're Bruce Willis, you aren't.

“He's married, and before he was married, the family as a whole went on trips together or just him and his woman.”

In another similar text she referenced Eddie Murphy.

She told Combs: “Eddie Murphy and Paige took his kids away on their own.

“I don’t think that you sympathise with my feelings. I understand you feeling like you need to protect your children but after a while…it's like for what?”

A fifth person who was rumoured to be involved was also named as Michael B Jordan.

The actor's name came up when Ventura testified that Combs suspected she was having an affair with him.

One of Combs' attorney asked Ventura "Mr. Combs suspected you of a relationship with whom?”

She responded with the actors name.

Potential jurors were asked before the trial started if they recognised Michael B Jordan.

He is not expected to testify.
