On Wednesday, former Sunderland Adam Johnson was found guilty on one charge of sexual activity with a child, and found not guilty on a further charge.

In the aftermath of the jury reaching their decision, BBC Sport published a story charting Johnson's 'fall from grace'. The report was tweeted from their official Twitter account, accompanied by a picture of Johnson in a Middlesbrough shirt. Johnson played for Middlesbrough before joining Manchester City - the team he represented before joining Sunderland.
