Mexican druglord Joaquin El Chapo Guzman ‘wanted to buy Chelsea’

Unbelievable...

Joaquín Guzmán Loera, more commonly known as El Chapo, made the news recently after the druglord was recaptured following six months on the run.

With Chapo back behind bars, a report in the Spanish daily Sport has spectacularly claimed that he was once considering buying Chelsea.

Mexican authorities released findings that apparently confirmed the kingpin was “seriously looking into purchasing” the club.

Worth an estimated $1bn, the Mexican would have probably had the financial resources to complete such an ambitious plan, although getting past the Premier League’s fit and proper owner test might have proved problematic.

For now, it looks like Roman Abramovic has no intentions of leaving Stamford Bridge, and it’s unlikely Chapo will be making an offer any time soon.
