Man who's visited more than 1,600 pubs was not prepared for Sticky Vicky's Benidorm boozer

‘Last night I saw things that no man should have to see…’

A man who has visited more than 1,600 pubs was still not quite prepared for the things he saw in Sticky Vicky’s legendary establishment in Benidorm.

Dale Harvey and his fiancée Holly Booth are on a mission to visit every pub in the UK, and share each boozer they visit on their Facebook page, The Great British Pub Crawl.

On a recent trip abroad, the couple decided it would be rude not to frequent some of the best boozers that Benidorm has to offer.

Of course, the area is famous for the huge numbers of Brits who travel over every year for a holiday at the Spanish resort, and it’s basically become a British enclave.

Everywhere you look, you can see British-style pubs and bars.

One of the most infamous establishments is The Red Lion, but it’s not the quality of the beer or the cozy ambiance that has put this pub on the map. No, it’s the performances of Sticky Vicky.

She performs X-rated shows that involve ‘vaginal magic.’ This sees Vicky pull items from her vagina, such as razors, and popping ping pong balls into cups.

So, Dale decided to see what all the fuss is about – and even he wasn’t prepared for what he saw.

In a post on Facebook, Dale wrote: “I would do a review for The Red Lion in Benidorm…

He later told the Daily Star that it was “the strangest experience you’ll probably ever have when going into a pub for a drink.”

He added that the pub is “like nothing we’ve got in this country.”

That’s almost certainly a good thing.

Sticky Vicky, real name Victoria María Aragues Gadea, spent years entertaining the good people of Benidorm and back in the day, she was apparently able to perform six shows a night every day of the week.

But after she retired from her art in 2015, her daughter Maria carried on the craft and adopted her mother’s stage name.

Meanwhile, Dale and Holly are a year and a half into their quest to visit every pub in the UK. The challenge had initially started out with the aim of visiting every pub in Nottinghamshire, but they decided to widen the scope nationwide.

They plan to celebrate their upcoming wedding in a bar in September.
