A man has been shot at Orly airport in Paris after grabbing a soldier's gun, French officials have confirmed. He was killed by security forces in a shop in the airport's southern terminal. No one was hurt in the incident.
The airport has been shut down and passengers on arriving aircraft are not being allowed to disembark. There is a search for any potential accomplices, and bomb disposal experts have been called to ensure the man was not wearing an explosive belt.
Reports suggest the man approached a group of soldiers patrolling the airport, seized the gun and ran into a shop. Shots were then fired and the man was killed. His motivation is not yet known.
