Man arrested at Disneyland Paris hotel after being found with firearms

A 28-year-old man has been arrested at a Disneyland Paris hotel after being caught in possession of firearms.

The alarm was raised at the New York Hotel after X-ray scanners detected the weapons, which are said to be two handguns. An ammunition cartridge and a copy of the Koran were also reportedly discovered. Le Parisien reports the man did not resist when he was immediately arrested and placed into custody. A woman who was also with the man is said to have fled the scene. Although the man's intentions are unclear, France remains on high alert following November's terrorist attacks in Paris.
