Lewis Capaldi has released a comeback single just hours before making a rumoured Glastonbury appearance.
The Scottish singer has been on a two-year hiatus after an emotional set at Glastonbury in 2023 led to him taking a break from music.
His latest release is called Survive and was written with RØMANS, who also co-wrote his popular song “Someone You Loved.”
The song addresses his mental health struggles as well as his battle with Tourette's Syndrome.
“Most nights I fear that I’m not enough/I’ve had my share of Monday mornings when I can’t get up,” he sings on the new song.
Then in the chorus he sings: “I swear to God I’ll survive, if it kills me to/I’m gonna get up and try, if it’s the last thing I’ll do.”
He announced the news of his comeback on Instagram in an emotional post.
This latest release comes after cryptic clues were posted up on billboards suggested that the singer might just be making a Glastonbury return.
This follows on from made up names of artists on the Glastonbury line up, suggesting some secret musicians might just be making appearances.
Capaldi remains odds on favourite.
