Disgraced musician Kanye West has been accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking by one his former employees in a new complaint filed on Tuesday (July 8).
It is the second time the College Dropout Grammy-winner has been accused by his former personal assistant Lauren Pisciotta.
Last June Pisciotta initially alleged that Kanye had stalked and harassed her.
She then amended her initial complaint in October but has this week brought forward fresh allegations, including assault, battery, sex trafficking and false imprisonment.
American news outlet TMZ obtained access to documents related to the claim, and say the allegations relate to the period between 2021 and 2022 when Pisciotta worked for Kanye.
She alleges Kanye sexually assaulted her when the pair travelled to San Francisco to set up Kanye's ‘Donda School', named in memory of his mother.
Kanye, who now refers to himself as Ye, is yet to respond to these new allegations but did comment on the initial lawsuit last year.
His team spoke to TMZ last June, saying: “In response to these baseless allegations, Ye will be filing a lawsuit against Ms Pisciotta, who actively pursued him sexually to coerce employment and other material benefits, then engaged in blackmail and extortion when her advances were rejected.
“It is evident that Ms Pisciotta leveraged her association with Ye and his company, and her proximity to him, to seek material gains, clout, and employment through inappropriate means.”
Kanye West is one of the best selling music artists of the 21st Century and was married to the influencer Kim Kardashian for seven years until their divorce in early 2021.
In the four years since, West has been embroiled in a series of controversies and has been accused of holding anti-semitic beliefs.
Last week he was removed from the lineup of a Slovakian music festival after uproar over a song he released in May that is said to glorify Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
