An Irish woman and her young son have been found dead in a house in London, according to reports.

The woman is believed to be 37-year-old Sinead Higgins, who was found dead with her seven-year-old son Oisin O’Driscoll after police received a phone call expressing concern for those in the house. The bodies were found on Wednesday morning.

Police do not believe that a third party was involved in the deaths.

Detective inspector Dave Bolton, from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “The investigation is at a very early stage but inquiries so far lead us to believe there is a likelihood that the tragic events that led to the deaths do not involve a third party.”

The Telegraph has reported that just days prior to the incident, Higgins had tweeted “The future looks very stormy.”
