Eric Bristow offers pathetic excuse regarding his controversial tweets about sexual abuse in football

Homenews

He branded those that were sexually abused as 'wimps'.

As you may have read, five-time world darts champion Eric Bristow caused outrage on social media after he made a barrage of idiotic comments regarding the ongoing child abuse scandal in sport. Bristow claimed that those abused were 'wimps' while also suggesting that darts players were somehow "proper" men because they were not sexually abused. After the news emerged about about paedophile football coach Barry Bennell, more than 20 other footballers - including former England international Paul Stewart - have bravely come forward to say that they have also suffered abuse from coaches. Bristow's Twitter rant demeans their courage and quite frankly,  it's straight from the dark ages. Here's the pathetic excuse that he has offered. https://twitter.com/ericbristow/status/803361624799248392 https://twitter.com/ericbristow/status/803363896233000963 This above tweet is in reference to the very first one that he sent. Clearly terms like 'poof' and 'paedo' are interchangeable in Bristow's world. https://twitter.com/ericbristow/status/803330575352393728
