This image of Donald Trump as The Grinch is here to ruin your Christmas

The photoshop was featured on the front cover of the New York Daily News

The front page of the New York Daily News on Saturday featured a terrifying image of Donald Trump as Dr. Seuss’ fictional character The Grinch, with the headline: “How The Trump Stole Christmas!”

The headline refers to a US government showdown in the run-up to the festive period, which has seen the president threaten to close down part of the government if he didn’t get funds for his border wall with Mexico.

The subtitle also take a swipe at Trump, saying: “Shuts down government over wall to put coal in stockings of 800,000 workers.”

 

The newspaper has a number of front pages that have been critical of the US leader this year, including an image of him and Vladimir Putin riding a horse together with the caption “Who’s your Vladdy”.

Sharing an image of the recent cover to Twitter, the newspaper wrote: “It could be head [sic] wasn’t screwed on just right. It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight. But we think that the most likely reason of all may have been that his heart was two sizes too small. An early look at Saturday’s front cover…”
