Atlético Madrid boss Diego Simeone joked that players aren't allowed to play in his team if they do not have sex a certain amount of times a month.
Atléti have endured another difficult campaign and finished third in the LaLiga table.
They also had a poor showing in this season's Champions League and were knocked out in the group stages.
Ahead of their last game, Simeone gave an interview to Spanish radio program 'El Partidazo de COPE' where he was asked an array of questions, including some about his sex life.
Host Joseba Larranaga informed the Argentine that a recent study found the average Spanish citizen has sex 56 times a year.
Simeone then replied: "How many did you say? 56… 56 a year… How many is that a month? Four a month? Not four a month."
He then jokingly added: "With four times a month you can't play in my team."
Asked what would be an acceptable number, he said: "15 a month? I'm not going to say… but we have a good average."
The 53-year-old has one year left on his contract and having been in charge of the club since 2011, his future has often been discussed, but Simeone insisted that he wants to stay.
"We have one more year on our contract and I'm focused on continuing to give my best," he said.
"At the moment the priority is not my contract, if we have to talk about it we will do it later when Miguel [Angel Gil, Atletico's CEO] believes that it is the most appropriate time. The priority is another."
